Course Overview:
This course
is designed to help individuals recognise the signs, causes, and impact of stress on mental and physical health, and to explore practical techniques to manage stress more effectively in personal and workplace settings.

This course supports a proactive approach to staff wellbeing, reduces absenteeism, and promotes a positive working culture in line with Health and Safety Executive (HSE) stress management standards and CQC staff wellbeing principles.

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

  • Define stress and understand how it differs from pressure

  • Identify common sources and signs of stress in self and others

  • Understand the impact of prolonged stress on health, behaviour, and performance

  • Apply practical stress management techniques and coping strategies

  • Explore workplace responsibilities around managing stress and supporting wellbeing

  • Reflect on personal resilience and mental health support
