Safeguarding Adults

Course Overview:
This course
is designed to provide staff with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to recognise and respond to concerns about abuse or neglect of adults at risk. This course is aligned with the Care Act 2014, CQC standards, and Skills for Care guidance, and promotes a person-centred and legally compliant approach to adult safeguarding.

This training is essential for anyone working with adults who may be vulnerable due to age, disability, mental health needs, or other risk factors.

By the end of the course, learners will be able to:

  • Define what is meant by safeguarding adults

  • Understand the different types of abuse and neglect

  • Recognise the signs and indicators of abuse

  • Know how to report concerns and follow safeguarding procedures

  • Understand the principles of the Six Safeguarding Key Principles

  • Understand the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and its relevance to safeguarding

  • Support individuals in a person-centred and respectful way

  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of professionals and organisations
