Hi, I’m Lisa – and if there’s one thing I’ve learned throughout my career, it’s that education has the power to transform lives. That’s why, in 2019, I founded Occuteach Ltd – to create a training and education company that truly puts people first.
My journey began in the health and social care sector, working hands-on as a care assistant. Over the years, I progressed through a variety of roles – senior team member, activities co-ordinator, company trainer, training manager, and diploma assessor. Each experience gave me a deeper insight into the challenges people face, not only in care roles but in accessing meaningful training that supports both personal growth and professional development.
What stood out to me at every stage was this: education should never be one-size-fits-all. I saw so many people held back by rigid systems that didn’t meet their needs, learning styles, or life circumstances. But when learners were given the right support, flexibility, and encouragement, they flourished. Their confidence grew. Their careers took shape. Their lives changed.
That’s the heart behind Occuteach.
Today, Occuteach Ltd offers inclusive, flexible, and person-centred learning opportunities for people from all walks of life – whether they’re just starting out, switching careers, returning to work, or looking to upskill. From accredited qualifications and short courses to tailored alternative provision and international learning pathways, our focus is on empowering individuals to reach their full potential.
We work with learners, families, local authorities, and businesses to create an environment where education works with people, not against them. Whether face-to-face or online, our training is designed to be accessible, practical, and impactful – because real lives deserve real opportunities.
